Inspector Gadget couldn't have detected better -- after all, who knew that Sammy Lopez, 21, David "DC" Yeager, 22, and James Dallas, {alias Dallas}, 24, would be the next big thing after their hit single from the Inspector Gadget soundtrack, "I'll Be Your Everything?" Yes -- that's who sings the catchy tune you've probably had a hard time getting out of your head.

Between participating in Disney's "PremEARS in the Park" tour, alongside fellow label-mates, Nobody's Angel, {the chic, new, girl-crew as seen on Boy Meets World}, and taping for their upcoming Disney concert special, which made a hefty contribution in the career of one of pop music's biggest acts,
'N Sync, to say these Youngstown natives, {at which they adopted their group name from}, have been keeping pretty busy would be an understatement.

It was a chance encounter -- these three songsters met through a mutual friend, not knowing whether or not this group would work out. DC and Dallas began another group before Youngstown, in hopes of reaching success, but when that fell through, they didn't give up. After meeting Sammy, the guys started the now-popular Youngstown.

We await the much-anticipated phone call on a Sunday afternoon, {Sunday morning for them; think: time zones}. Not long after the specified time, the phone rings, and waiting for us, Dallas, {if you're wondering, yes, they do have sultry voices offstage, as well}. He begins by telling us the originality of Youngstown: "On the new album, we wrote five songs and produced three. My favorite, though, would have to be 'Jamie Lee,' since I wrote it for my mother, and 'Pedal to the Steel.'" The latter was also a favorite among both DC and Sammy; and, who can blame them? The get-up-and-dance song, featuring a rap by All That's Kel Mitchell, is well-chosen as the title track from their debut album, "Let's Roll," in stores now!

gt magazine gets personal with the three guys who will be everything you want and more!

i can't believe i once..."Ripped my braces off," says Sammy. Ouch! DC also answers, "Ate a bowl full of ants! I was eating cereal, and when I got to the last bite, I looked down and saw ants floating around. Not a very good experience..."

the guys mock me when..."I regulate, [put order to], things," answers Dallas. "Sometimes, I won't shave my sideburns right," says Sammy.

a song i like, but hate to admit is..."Probably something by the Spice Girls," explains DC.

people would be shocked to learn that..."I'm the youngest of the group at 21," says Sammy. DC answers, "That I'm shy." They're right -- we were surprised!

something that confuses me about girls is..."When they go together to the bathroom," DC tells us. Dallas adds, "How they're too hot and cold at times." Some things better left a secret...

if i could take credit for directing one movie, it would be...Going back to the group analysis, we think Dallas would win the slot of "most romantic" with his answer: "Something romantic for the ladies...I'd have to say Ghost." But, we'd have to agree with DC when he mentioned Austin Powers. Yeah, baby!

'n sync or backstreet boys? This one was a toss-up, as the guys mentioned that each group has their own qualities!

david letterman or jay leno? Letterman wins. "I love his sarcasm and straight-faced answers," comments Sammy about the Late Show host.

blondes or brunettes? The guys were torn between the two choices. Dallas jokes, "Blondettes."

e-mail or snail mail? Although DC tells us that Sammy and Dallas are computer illiterate, the guys agreed on e-mail.

brandy or monica? Looks as though those boys of Youngstown are hers! They decided Brandy over R&B singing sensation Monica, with mention of how difficult it was to choose between the two!

which came first: the chicken or the egg? DC laughs, "I'd have to say the rooster." "

is crankiest in the morning? The guys chose Sammy, and well, Sammy agreed that he is a self-proclaimed grouch when woken up in the morn.

is the most romantic? Ironically enough, the guys chose themselves, so we'd have to say it is a three-way tie. DC jokes, "We wouldn't really be able to say, because we're not romantic around each other!"

wakes up the latest? DC admits he's a late sleeper, and the guys quickly agreed.

is the television junkie? DC was chosen for this category, and again, was in full agreeance that the tube is like a second home.

is the most fashion-conscious? The guys said that they do like spending time when it comes to clothing options. Well, we'll be the first to say that it's looking great!

has the biggest mouth? Dallas must be quite the talker, because between the three guys, he was the top pick!

tells the worst jokes? The king of corny tales was awarded to Dallas, as a mutual decision among his groupmates.

has had the most girlfriends? Sammy must have been quite a charmer, seeing as he won as the choice for the ladies man!

This may be the first time you've read in detail about the guys, but we can guarantee you it won't be the last. Not only can you hear them on the theme song of Disney's "The Famous Jett Jackson," and of course, the Inspector Gadget soundtrack, but the guys have also been included on the long list of celebrities such as Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, and Joey McIntyre for their Zoog Disney chat on October 18, 1999.

In the future, you can bet these guys will lead the way for pop music in the new millennium, and although tons of girls will fawn soon enough, the guys still do get antsy at celebrity sightings. DC, for instance: "One time when I was in LA, [Los Angeles, California], I came within feet of Jennifer Love Hewitt. It was so close, I could smell her perfume." Youngstown also chats about being friends with the guys of the hip hop sensation Digital Underground.

On an ending note, although the guys thoroughly admit they regret not seeing their families more often, singing was kismet. Says DC, "I'm sure I can speak for us all and say we miss our families dearly, but we consider ourselves very blessed to be in this position. We love seeing new places and meeting new people, and we wouldn't trade it for the world!" We can thank our lucky stars for that!
