Talk about a great start into teenagedome. When Lydia, 14, Tracy, 12, Ashely, 14, and Lauren, 14, decided to start a musical group, a fate like no other struck them into a universe of opportunities. These girls don't take it for granted, though -- they were more than happy to share their story with us at their recent performance in St. Lucie County.

gt.com: where did you guys get your start?

LYDIA: We all come from Tampa, Florida. We've known each other since we were about five years old. A year ago, Tracy and I decided that we should form a group, so we asked Lauren and Ashley to join us, since we are all good friends.

gt.com: what distinguishes you from other girl groups?

LAUREN: I think the fact that we put ourselves together. It's not anything anyone else wanted us to do. We just put ourselves together because of our love for music and performing.

gt.com: what was it like working with *n sync and britney spears?

TRACY: It was great! Before we formed PYT, we looked up to them as artists. When we met them, they were so nice to us. It would've been a let-down if they were mean, but they were so grounded...so down-to-earth.

gt.com: who was your favorite to tour with?

LYDIA: Can't really decide! They were all good! It was different for each tour. On the *N SYNC tour, there's obviously not many guys in the audience. But, at the Britney Spears shows, there were both guys and girls.

LAUREN: Both were great experiences!

gt.com: what can we expect from your debut album?

ASHLEY: Everything!

TRACY: All of our music is so different. We have a lot of pop-feeling stuff, and then, we have a lot of urban and rock. It's going to be great!

gt.com: what kind of music do you like listening to?

LAUREN: Everything! I think that's why our album is like that. ::laughs::

gt.com: we agree! thanks for the interview, girls!
