They've come all the way from Norway to entertain us; and well, they're doing a pretty darn good job of it. As Marion, 15, and Marit, 16, travel the States in a pair, they're catching the eyes of top execs like the folks at Disney, who are lending their stage for the girls' first concert special, (to air April 29, 2000). So, what better way to learn more about these Norwegian sweethearts than from their own mouths?

Join girlything.com and the "Don't Say You Love Me" duo as we go behind the scenes at Disney Channel's latest concert special...

gt.com: when did you decide that you wanted to take your love for singing to a more professional level?

MARION:
We've always wanted to sing and wanted as many people as possible to hear our music. And, when we got the opportunity to sing for Atlantic Records, we took it, of course! It's a [one time] chance and you never know if you'll get it back!

MARIT: That's when we started singing more professionally.

gt.com: how did you decide on the title of your debut album, Shades of Purple?

MARION:
Both Marit and I love purple! I was wearing my sunglasses with purple shades, and we thought it sounded kind of nice. Like, the whole album is through our eyes...how we see the world, our meanings, and our messages.

gt.com:
what do you like most about the United States?

MARION:
Shopping...great shops! Marit likes Starbucks...

MARIT: Starbucks Coffee -- we don't have that in Norway! Going to the movies here is completely different! The movies in the States are [shown] eight, nine, ten times a day, and we don't have that in Norway.

gt.com: do you write your songs in English or Norwegian?

MARION:
It's different each time -- sometimes we'll have an idea in Norwegian, but when we write, it's in English. It's not like we write it in Norwegian and translate it...we usually just write it down in English.

MARIT:
Basically, we write in English, because it's a language more people understand.

gt.com: what distinguishes your music from other female groups?

MARION:
It's pretty much the same, besides the fact that we write our own lyrics. We're just ourselves.

MARIT:
Nobody tells us what to say or what to do. We're just Marit and Marion.

MARION:
I guess what's different is that we're M2M!

gt.com: so, Marion and Marit, what are the advantages of working as a pair?

MARIT:
I think that's since we're two people, especially since we're young, we can experience the same things. You have someone who knows exactly how you feel!

gt.com: good luck girls, and thanks for the interview!
