Since their breakthrough single, "Summer Girls," back in the, (no surprise here), summer of 1999, the boys of LFO have stormed up the scale of success with no signs of stopping. The trio, which consists of Rich Cronin, Brad Fischetti, and Devin Lima, may seem like just another boy band in the background, but assuming that would be your first mistake.

gt magazine caught up with the guys at their stop at West Palm Beach, Florida's Mars Music Amphitheater for the much-anticipated All That Music & More Festival to see what their (Westside) Story is...

gt.com: how has the All That tour been going?

RICH: It's actually going awesome. The last ten shows have been packed, the audiences are really receptive, and Nickelodeon is fun to work with.

gt.com: it seems opportunities have been knocking on your tour bus door frequently. what has been the best experience so far?

DEVIN: The audience has been great! We've only been a group since last March, so it's hard to say what's been the best thing. Performing has been amazing, though -- it's what we love to do.

gt.com: what would you love to do at this point in your careers?

DEVIN: We want to keep on going -- make new songs and do more shows. Hopefully, the fans will keep on coming! Are you a fan, by the way?

RICH: We're going to keep on working and bring our music to as many people as possible.

gt.com: of course we're fans! now, rich -- you wrote a lot of the songs on the debut album. where do you derive your inspiration from?

RICH:
I honestly write the lyrics from experience and whatever is inspiring me at the moment. Whatever I'm feeling, whatever comes out; it's hard to say where it comes from! It could be a hard time I'm having or just something random from my imagination. That's actually a good question -- where does inspiration come from?

gt.com: your next video, "Westside Story," is in the works. what can you tell us about it?

RICH:
Aw, man -- it's going to be great! Hype Williams is directing it. It's going to be half cartoon...

DEVIN:
I'm actually drawing the cartoons for the video!

BRAD: It's coming out in the year 2007, too. ::laughs::

RICH: Allegedly, Matt Damon is supposed to be in it, but we're not sure.

BRAD: Matt Damon is going to play Rich!

RICH: We have this whole concept where Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Casey Affleck are going to play LFO in the video, and we're just playing extras. Weird concept, but who knows! We're going to see how it works.

gt.com: your obviously not just another boy band. what do you believe sets you apart from the other all-male groups?

RICH: What do you think makes us different by watching us? Well, our vocals are live, and we have no choreographed dance moves. Everything is on the conflict -- no two shows are ever the same. It's just pure energy!

DEVIN: We can adapt, too. For example, today I hurt my foot and had to wing it.

gt.com: how'd you manage to hurt your foot?

DEVIN:
That's a whole 'nother story...

RICH:
He dropped a weight on his foot!

gt.com: ouch! so, the tour bus must be your second home. what do you do to pass the time on the road?

ALL: First home!

RICH: We play video games, watch Animal Planet...

DEVIN: Have you ever watched that crocodile guy? We also watch movies and write songs.

BRAD: And, Devin sings and sings and sings...

gt.com: what's the message you'd like to send out to your fans?

DEVIN: We love you!

RICH:
Positivity! Don't worry, be happy. And, we really appreciate them and their support.

gt.com: great messages! thanks for the interview, guys!
